Dear KUN:ST artist

This month, December 21, marks the fifth anniversary of our association's founding date. And these five years were definitely not years of boredom, but rather years of movement, change and always moving further in the service of art. I like to and often describe the mission of our association as the professional presentation of the art of our members on a national and international level. This has been a common theme for five years and it should stay that way.

In these days, we are already thinking about the New Year 2021. With the glimmer of hope that better, normal times will come with the vaccinations, we want to approach the year 2021 with optimism. In addition to the gallery activities that are fully planned for the first half of the year, we also want to be present at art fairs again and we will be able to exhibit in the Orangerie in Schwetzingen Castle Park throughout August 2021.

In the gallery in Leonberg we are still planning 'full' normality, we will continue our gallery program with unchanged opening times as announced and, in the event of restrictions, comply with the regulations of the retail trade.

Merry Christmas

These restrictions make a show opening impossible in November and now also in December, because no more than 20 people can be in the gallery at the same time. That is why we are canceling our Merry Christmas show opening and the opening of the exhibition 'Vom Finden des Glücks'.

But of course we invite you to visit the exhibition. We don't want to miss the informal communication that is usually taking place at our show openings and offer a little 'chat' with our exhibition organizers for your Sunday excursion. Peter Wichmann and myself will be on Sundays on December 6th, 13th, 20th in the gallery from 11 am to 4 pm and be happy to guide you through the exhibitions.

We took all Merry Christmas artworks online this year:
Artworks Merry Christmas

Duration of the exhibition: November 26, 2020 – January 3, 2021

We also used the time of silence to rearrange the presentation of our artists and their artworks. We have created a new digital exhibition space under the theme ''Aufbruch' instead of yearbook', which replaces our previous yearbook and which we announced in detail last month. It is important to know this month that submissions for the Art Prize 2021 are only possible until the end of the month, December 31, 2020. With the topic 'Man, where are you?' we want to motivate artists to participate and invite them to express their artistic position on the diverse impressions and feelings that arise for each individual in this eventful time with corona, climate change, political decisions, war, hunger and refugees.

Duration of the exhibition: February 4th - 28th, 2021
Show opening: Sunday, February 7th, 2021 | 11.15 am
Presentation of the award winners: ARTe in Sindelfingen, March 25th -28th, 2021

Our homepage, which we continuously update, remains important for everyone for their own orientation:
At the beginning of the year nobody thought 2020 was possible like this. Let's stay positive, 9 months of the unexpected Corona situation are now behind us and therefore certainly more than half. Let's enjoy the silence and peace for a while. The upcoming festive season - even with the restrictions that are imposed on us in order to get through the winter well and healthy - are a good opportunity for contemplation, reflection and re-scaling our own values.

I wish you all a Merry and Peaceful Christmas with your loved ones, a good start into the New Year and most importantly that we all meet again in 2021, safe and sound.
Best regards
Andreas Kerstan, 1. Vorsitzender Kunst Stuttgart International e.V.
