KUN:ST Newsletter No. 48
August 2020
Newsletter englisch
Dear KUN:ST artist

now we are in the middle of summer and spend our days between hope and fear. We all hope that the art world will finally return to normal business and we fear the increasing number of infections, which may block our way back to normal activities. Nevertheless, we are moving forward and - from my personal point of view - I can say that the autumn events, e.g. the ARTe Wiesbaden in September and the Kunstsalon at Stettenfels Castle in October will take place and other art fairs have confirmed their events for autumn as well.

We are also sorting out our Kunst International exhibition activities. For our David & Goliath exhibition in New York, which has now been postponed to April 2021, we decided that we would leave the artworks as they are at our carrier and send them back to New York in February 2021.

For our postponed exchange exhibition at the WBK in Essen, we now have an exhibition date for 2021 - we will now exhibit there in Essen from May 9 to June 13, 2021.

We don't have a new date for the postponed LAKUNA exhibition, also because there is still no date for the LAKUNA 2021.

In the gallery we are now showing our large summer exhibition SKULPTUREN-DAVID-GOLIATH over the summer until August 30th. Our Wolfgang Melzer always takes tons of photos for us, which we then at least partially publish on social media, but which we also have available, for example here:

After that we are back in our original exhibition calendar and show a Personal Notes exhibition in September. This is a format in which we only present four artists - each as in a solo exhibition - with around 15 works. Because of a short-term cancellation, we still have a place available for this September exhibition, and anyone who is interested can simply contact Peter Wichmann (pe_wi@web.de) or Birgit Schryvers (b.schryvers@me.com) directly. The participation fee for this is 600 euros.

'Artists' Round Table

We want to revive our artist get-together (Kunstdialog) in the 'post-corona era': “It starts (again). The "Art Dialogue" will be replaced by an "Artists' Round Table", which is scheduled to begin on September 10, 6:00 p.m. We cordially invite all artists and those interested in art. It should be a first meeting to restart and to discuss and agree the future format. And of course we'll take care of your safety during corona times."

General Annual Meeting

We have already invited separately to the general meeting on October 31st. For our evening get-together, we'll move to the Höfingen castle hotel a few kilometers away: https://www.schloss-höfingen.com/. We still have three rooms available within our booked room continent. So if you want to reserve a room from October 31st to November 1st, please contact us. Accommodation costs 50 euros in a single room and 75 euros for 2 people in a double room.

The exhibition will take place from July 23, 2020 to August 30, 2020 in the KUN:ST Quartier. We cordially invite you to visit this exhibition during gallery opening hours.

The subsequent Personal Notes exhibition will last from September 3rd to 27th with a show opening event on Sunday, September 6th, 2020 at 11:15 am.

In the last newsletter we announced the Merry Christmas Exhibition 2020, the exhibition will take place from November 26th, 2020 to January 3rd, 2021. For everyone who knows the format: almost nothing has changed compared to the previous year, we only skip the expensive catalog production. Merry Christmas is a very special and popular – well know y our customers, in which we only sell works of art that cost 300 euros :-)
All information and the possibility to register are on our registration page:

The Professions Project

Currently and up to August 31st there is still the possibility to register for the Professions Project, which we will show in the KUN:ST Quartier in October.
