Dear KUN:ST artists

now you can tell in the evenings that autumn is just around the corner - and autumn is art time. Last month we celebrated the first anniversary of our gallery in Leonberg - a year that we look back with pride. In a critical appraisal of the achievements so far, we have also discovered potential for improvement, which have become so extensive that we communicate planned changes in the KUN:ST Quartier in a separate newsletter.

Outlook 2020

Among the planned changes is a reorganization of our gallery shop, a more reliable planning of the gallery operations and good planning also includes the early announcement of planned exhibitions. Our exhibition calendar 2020 is almost complete.

These include a member exhibition in January, our art prize exhibition in April, a new format 'Personal Notes' for small group exhibitions – almost like single artist shows.

We will bring the David & Goliath format after the Art Expo New York into the gallery to Leonberg (and open it up to all members) and maintain proven exhibition formats, such as the Merry Christmas format.

The registrations are here:

Ego in the Box

In September, KUN:ST Quartier in Leonberg will be showing an exhibition of reinterpretations of the self-portrait: Ego in the Box. The management of the KUN:ST Quartier and the entire board cordially invite you to the vernissage on Sunday, September 8th 2019 at 2 pm.

The exhibition itself is open until 29 September 2019 during the usual gallery opening times.

Art fair ARTe Wiesbaden

In September, we will participate from 20.-22.9. with a International booth at ARTe Wiesbaden. Eleven of our artists show their current positions at booth B11 and cordially invite you to visit ARTe. The attached invitation card printed and brought with you to the art fair provides to two persons free of charge access on one of the fair days.

Art Prize 2020 „The fourth dimension“

Last month, we announced our Art Prize 2020 in the familiar format: presentation and award ceremony at the ARTe 2020 in Sindelfingen followed by an exhibition in the gallery. The chosen title "The Fourth Dimension" is intended to motivate in particular our three-dimensional working artists for this competition. This year's contest is again a closed competition and only KUN:ST International members may participate.

Members Exhibition 2020 "Ice Age"

As KUN:ST International, we have set ourselves the ojective of hosting an annual exhibition of our members every two years, offering as many members as possible the opportunity to participate. Right at the beginning of the year 2020 we want to organize this exhibition in our gallery in Leonberg and put it according to the season under the theme 'Ice Age'.

More information and the registration option can be found here:
For the remaining exhibitions of the year 2019, the photography exhibition in the WAAS.schen Fasrik, the Merry Christmas exhibition or the ARTe Wiesbaden or the participation in the ar fair in Copenhagen there are no more registration possibilities.

We also had to close the registration for our David & Goliath project in New York early because of complete overbooking.

KUN:ST Academy

The next workshops of KUN:ST Academy are the 'Objektbesprechung (object discussion)' with Prof. Bader on October 17th and the workshop 'Meine eigene Ausstellung (My own exhibition)' with Inge Louven on October 24th. Seats are available for all academy courses.

Our KUN:ST dialogue will take place on September 12th. As always, we meet in the gallery after closing at 6 pm. This month we look forward to our Verónica Munín-Glück, born in Argentina, who studied architecture at the University of Buenos Aires and today lives and works in Sulz am Neckar and Dornhan in the south of Germany as an architect. Verónica explains to us how art and architecture deal with space and time in order to present the differences and similarities of these disciplines in daily life.
