Dear KUN:ST artists

The mood in the German art market bounces between resignation, anger and yet hope and fear. The pandemic has practically resulted in a full stop of all artistic activities. The hope for a fast and sustainable quick end to the pandemic has been disappointed again and again and even today it is unclear what's going to happen in the weeks and month to come. The light at the end of the tunnel is the vaccination campaign, which we all hope that - quickly and successfully implemented - will give us back a kind of normal life.

And it is the same with us - our activities have practically come to a standstill. The gallery in Leonberg is closed due to the high incidence and you have to enjoy the very little things. On one of the few opening days we actually sold a painting in the gallery and also one from our online exhibition Aufbruch. Nevertheless, we are sticking to our plans for 2021 and have and will have to adjust them to the current situations:
Overview of exhibition dates

The Böblingen district with its incidence of over 180 was most recently above the national average. This means that - in accordance with the rules for retailers - we keep the gallery closed. We had already extended the exhibitions:

LA LUNA + The EVA manifesto in the Kunstsalon with Eva Michielin
April 8th, 2021 - May 24th, 2021 (Whit Monday)

The exhibitions then come in chronological order
May 27, 2021 - June 20, 2021

ART PRIZE 2021 and Threatened Beauty - Klaus Biliczky
June 24, 2021 – August 1, 2021

As part of the KUNSTPREIS 2021, we have announced an online audience award. Up tot today, more than 850 people have taken part in the vote. If you want to join and vote up tp June 20th, please follow this link:

Even if we as an association have come through the financial corona rounds quite well so far, in the end the gallery rent puts some pressure on the financial mood. In 2019 we had a very successful charity exhibition 'Art for Us', which we want to build on in 2021. At that time, we also received a lot of feedback on how the format can be improved. Of course we tried to implement at least some of that and hence we will have flexible prices in 2021 and part of the proceeds will go to the artist. You can register and find all information here:

Aufbruch (Departure)

Since we are still in lockdown mode, we are also extending our special campaign for our digital Aufbruch exhibition until May 31, 2021. The exhibition is now filling up really well, we have for the first time also 3D objects in the exhibition and, as stated in the introduction sold the first piece of artwork from this exhibition. A visit will be worth it in any case:

Registrations for this exhibition are possible all year round - and until May 31st at our Lockdown Easy Package conditions:
